Off Topic: Marijuana Now Legal In Colorado, Washington – Voters in Colorado and Washington approved measures allowing adults to use marijuana for any purpose, marking an historic turning point in the slow-growing acceptance of marijuana usage. Proponents say it’s about time pot was made legal and that it would create new avenues of tax revenue. But opponents say legalization would lead to more drug abuse and concerns about things like driving while impaired. The Feds say they will still enforce federal law. Pro sports leagues say that it will remain banned. But…the day is coming when you will be able to walk into a store and buy weed, just like you can buy a beer now. The measures also open the door for marijuana tourism. Both marijuana measures make marijuana possession in small amounts OK for all adults over 21 — not just state residents but visitors, too. Tourists may not be able to pack their bowls along with their bags, but as long as out-of-state tourists purchase and use the drug while in Colorado or Washington, they wouldn’t violate the marijuana measures.
